Canteen — Jedáleň / Menza¶
UPJŠ catering services include several kitchens and serving points, including Tr. SNP 1, which is the most relevant for LF students. UPJŠ also lists catering locations at Medická 4, Moyzesova 9, Jesenná 5, Popradská and Mánesova.

- Buffet: 08:00–14:30
- Meal service: 11:00–14:00

Meal ordering system¶
UPJŠ uses an online meal ordering system connected with the student card / card number. Meals can usually be ordered online, at terminals, or at selected canteen kiosks. The standard deadline for ordering is listed as 14:00 one day before the meal, with cancellation rules and a "burza" option for unused ordered meals.

Student subsidy system — important¶
UPJŠ lists a student meal subsidy system. According to the official price document valid from December 2025:
- ordered student meal: price 7.00 €
- subsidy: 2.40 €
- student pays: 4.60 €
- for free-sale meals, one subsidy applies from 4.00 €
- meals from 8.01 € may receive a higher subsidy according to the listed rules.
Student tip
If you want the subsidised price, do not assume every snack or random item counts. Check the meal type, order rules and payment system.
