Where is the faculty?¶

The Faculty of Medicine is located in the hospital area near Univerzitná nemocnica Louisa Pasteura Košice. Medical students may have classes, labs or clinical training at several locations, not only in the main faculty building. The official LF UPJŠ orientation plan lists the main faculty building, UNLP, DFN, VÚSCH, AGEL Košice-Šaca, Nemocnica sv. Michala and other clinical teaching sites.

Warning
Slovak language is important for clinical communication. Even if your programme is taught in English, you may need Slovak during clinical training, hospitals and daily life.
First Week Checklist¶
- Save the faculty address: Trieda SNP 1.
- Open the official orientation map.
- Check your exact enrolment instructions.
- Check your English programme Study Department contact.
- Activate / check your university login.
- Log in to AiS2.

- Check your timetable and room locations.
- Register at the Medical Library with your ISIC.
- Learn how to order subsidised meals.
- Check dormitory status or private housing backup.
- Enrol / attend Slovak language course if required.
- Check university email every day during the first weeks.
